Becky Aguila loses P2.5M to Budol Budol Gang

Becky Aguila, manager of Angel Locsin, Jennylyn Mercado, and Valerie Concepcion, lost P2.5M to alleged members of the notorious Budol-Budol Gang. This story was featured in the early evening newscast Wednesday. Becky Aguila said the suspects duped her into buying “pearl enhancers” worth P2.5 million. Pearl enhancers are pieces of jewelry on which the pearls are mounted in a design. The talent manager said she met the suspects, separately when they inquired about a piece of property she was selling.

“They befriended me and talked about the production of cultured pearls,” Becky Aguila recalled. And then, Becky said, they informed her that they would like to find buyers for their pearl enhancers, “which turned out to be cans of potted meat.” This style is often used by members of Budol Budol Gang.
