Bea Binene‘s mother allegedly sought the help of the CIDG after dwLS-FM DJ Papa Dan allegedly threatened to release “sensitive” photographs and videos of Bea Binene. This is the gist of a complaint for child abuse filed on Sept. 3, 2012 at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG). Bea Binene’s mom, Carina Binene accused Dan Christian Villanueva, 29, more popularly known as dwLS FM DJ Papa Dan, of blackmailing, harassing and spreading rumors about her 14-year-old daughter. The affidavit stated:
“As a parent, I want him to stay away from and stop threatening my daughter because her career may go to waste and affect her personal life. I pity my daughter because of the fear and trauma she has been experiencing … I want him punished for what he has done to all of us, especially my daughter.”
“I have been hearing stories from many people that he will destroy my daughter’s name. He is also claiming that they were in a relationship. He also warned my daughter that he would kill himself if she stays away from him.”
In another letter addressed to Senior Supt. Emma Libunao, chief of the CIDG Women and Children’s Protection Desk, the lawyers of Bea Binene’s family, including Atty. Topacio , asked for help in pursuing the case against the DJ Papa Dan.
“We are also relaying to you officially the request of our client for the confiscation of the mobile phone and portable computer of Papa Dan since, according to Bea, the same contain photographs and videos of a sensitive nature that may tend to prejudice the name and reputation of our client.”
Update: Bea Binene, her mom, and Papa Dan all spoke on cam aired on 24 Oras tonight denying that they filed a case against Papa Dan.
Incidentally, Atty. Topacio was also once linked to Bea Binene but Bea clarified that the rumors were not true and Atty. Topacio only helped her with regards to the legalities of her Bea Cares Foundation.
