UPDATE: Sandras Inez Seifert was DISQUALIFIED because of her FHM and Maxim sexy shoots.

It’s Bb. Pilipinas season once again. Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated (BPCI), a non-stock, non-profit organization founded by its chair, Stella Márquez de Araneta, and the organizer of the Philippines most prestigious beauty pageant and the Philippine franchisee of the three most prestigious beauty title in the whole universe, namely, the Miss Universe Pageant, Miss World and Miss International, has concluded its grueling search for who will make it to their initial screenings. Rich Asuncion, whose real name is Richell Angalot, an alumnus of GMA 7’s Starstruck is one of the more known Bb. Pilipinas candidates this year. Bb. Pilipinas 2nd Runner Up (forgot the year) and Paolo Bediones girlfriend Abby Cruz, whose real name is Abegail Lesley Cruz is also in the running in this year’s Bb. Pilipinas. This year, Bb. Pilipinas is also opening the so-called revolutionary road, allowing Priscilla Navidad, a deaf-mute candidate to be in the running. Priscilla Navidad, if she seems familiar is because she is a former Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus housemate. Cheryl Oliveros, better known as ASF Dancers member Aiko Climaco is also a candidate. Sandras Inez Seifert is a perennial feature in FHM Philippines and Maxim magazines. Will their being known help them come Pageant Night? The 24 Official Candidates to the 2009 Binibining Pilipinas are:

Ma. Paula Bianca Paz
Mary Jane dela Cruz
Jaysel Arozal
Regina Hahn
Richell Angalot (a.k.a. Rich Asuncion)
Mary Tifanny Jones
Vanessa Johnson
Melody Gersbach
Priscilla Navidad
Abegail Lesley Cruz (a.k.a. Abby Cruz)
Diana Arevalo
Barbara Salvador
Marie Ann Umali
Hazel Sutch
Cheryl Oliveros
Carishiela May Kaujpers
Keann Mallari
Marie Loraine de Guzman
April Love Jordan
Stephanie Sineres
Priscila Mae Honorio
Sandras Inez Seifert
Pamela Bianca Manalo
Gizelle Jasmin Rivamonte

The Bb. Pilipinas 2009 Coronation Night will be held on March 7, 2009 at the Araneta Coliseum and will be telecast live on GMA 7 right after Imbestigador.

Good Luck to all the contestants!! We’ll just hope the winner would be deserving and will be a good model to all the filipino. Someone we can be very proud of.

my bet is stephnie siñerez… remember the name! she might be that not famous compare from the other candidates but if u happend to read her portfolio u will surely hav a blast.

when shes on the stage elegance becomes her… superb catwalk… a summa comlaude graduate and armed with sharp communication skills.

good luck steph! make cebuano’s and bisaya proud.

    viva pitsenyor!

  4. neil on February 11th, 2009 5:18 pm

last year candida no 16 was full of poise and she was smart , too.

    wiz siya wagi.

wagi ang mga bobong kandiata like the people who runs the circus of a beauty pageant!!!

    kalokah.

  8. ann on February 15th, 2009 4:50 am

  9. Aldo on February 15th, 2009 11:02 am

I checked backgrounds and noted that some are “bold” star wannabes na they shouldn’t be in this type of representation of the Philippines.

  10. Bebot on February 15th, 2009 11:03 am

Naku, makita naman ang mga gusto mag gain from this pageant, like Sandra Sierfert was in FHM and Maxim goes to show she is going bold already, and our country’s women are disrespected since they are called “japayuki”.

  11. Josh on February 15th, 2009 11:06 am

Sandra nako po, parang she is just pretending to be so Christian then she goes to do bold photos in mens mags like FHM and Maxim, na hindi siya consitent except ambition niya mag bold star lang…and she doesn’t deserve to represent the Philippines at nayon pa, trying hard to be bold star, tapos if she makes it, nakakahiya what she may do AFTER she wins.

  12. kiksy on February 17th, 2009 4:13 am

Pls. be careful commenting about Sandra, kilala kita…Ingat pare , baka mabura ka dito sa mundo…Talk about others not Sandra ok?

    God Bless You

  13. yikes on February 17th, 2009 10:08 pm

pag naghubad, naghubad…pag bold star eh di bold star…..lets not try to hide these facts…:) if this so called sandra is a boldie eh di so be it, if she is smart enough and has the elegance and style of a winner then she will win…and if she lose, probably the bold wagon is for her…di ba? kaloka ang mga pinoy culture na yan na “dont talk about sandra, ok?” she is public property now, so she is open to anybody’s scrutiny – positive or negative. and if you kiksy is affected, problema mo yan, and its not you people will be talking about, so why fret? he he he kaloka ha ha ha

  14. julia on February 18th, 2009 12:47 am

  15. yikes on February 18th, 2009 8:26 am

doesnt matter, i think nowadays its ok. i mean, it doesnt mean that if you pose for a men’s magazine you are not decent anymore. I woyld rather think that these women are confident and know what they want and thats good. i always admire women who goes against the flow, headstrong and doesnt follow the herd. two goody two shoes isnt always impressive.:)

  16. popoy on February 22nd, 2009 9:08 pm

Sana manalo yong pambato sa cebu…. Stephanie Seneres…. Matalino yan…. She can be the best bet for Ms. World 2009 or universe 2009…. very pinay yong dating…. :)

  17. Nadzkydee on February 23rd, 2009 9:58 pm

go DiaNE !!!! Wish you luck,, kaya mo yan!! Hope you’ll win! Mabuhay and Mindoro! ahehehe..

  18. 100percentHAPPA on February 25th, 2009 5:56 pm

this is gonna be one hell of a competition, trust me. With all the biracial contestants in the pageant, I know it’s going to be tough. Wish you good luck to all biracial beauties. I’m a happa too so raise our flag!

  19. donna on February 26th, 2009 11:14 pm

  20. malayenia on February 27th, 2009 1:21 am

The hot candidates for Binibining Pilipinas according to what I have seen with their photographs and vital statistics are:

    1) melody gerbasch
    2) hazel sutch
    3) diana arevalo
    4) regina hahn
    5) jane de la cruz

  21. mysterymiss on February 27th, 2009 10:31 pm

“Bb. Pilipinas” the winner should be a REAL FILIPINA OR i mean a PURE FILIPINA, not half filipina or whatsoever! We are looking for a FILIPINA BEAUTY not for an ALIEN BEAUTY. and must be a FILIPINO CITIZEN!

  22. hehe on March 1st, 2009 2:51 am

    i do hope… walang manalo.

  23. Arielle on March 1st, 2009 4:02 am

Pure Filipina or half-Filipina, they still are Pinoys in origin. The original Filipinos came from the Negritos, the ancestors of today’s Aetas, historically speaking. If you are looking for a PURE FILIPINA, then the Aeta is in. So what exactly are you looking for, mysterymiss?
Almost every country in the world have been colonized by other countries, and the Philippines is a proud country having produced world-class beauties, so to speak. So in my opinion, mestiza or morena, if she has Pinay blood and origin, is my bet to win and represent our country. Go Pinays!

  24. Arielle on March 1st, 2009 4:14 am

The BBP featured video by GMA 7 hyping their starlets and celebrities is somewhat biased. They focused all the attention on Rich Asuncion, Abby Cruz, and Bianca Paz. I mean, I don’t have anything against them. They are drop-dead gorgeous. It just puts a lot of pressure on their shoulders, and a lot of disappointment just in case they do not win.
I go for Priscilla Navidad though. I like her admirable willingness to join despite her hearing disablity.

  25. Arielle on March 1st, 2009 4:30 am

My personal bets according to their stats, looks, and credentials are:
#9 April Love Jordan (natural morena beauty)
#10 Priscilla Navidad (smart, admirable & pretty)
#7 Jane Dela Cruz (gorgeous pinay)
#17 Marie-Ann Umali (another gorgeous pinay)
#24 Abegail Lesley Cruz (what can I say? She deserves another shot with more experience up her sleeves)

  26. mhel on March 2nd, 2009 11:46 am

  28. lara on March 2nd, 2009 12:15 pm

go Carishiela May Kaujpers pinakamaganda sa mga contestant at may utak!

  29. rain on March 2nd, 2009 5:37 pm

    go stephanie!!!!!

  30. apun on March 3rd, 2009 5:09 pm

It looks like the mestizas are gonna round it up come March 7. All 24 are gorgeous but seemingly the most outstanding ones based on their profile are Richell Angalot, Melody Gersbach, Keanne Mallari and Sandras Inez Seifert. And some could really pull an upset like Stephanie Sinerez, Pamela Manalo, Abby Cruz and Bianca Paz.

  31. Joyce Burton Titular on March 4th, 2009 10:40 pm

Hello there! Thanks for your article, I used some of the info to write my blog (adventuresofabeautyqueen.wordpress.com) on my top 7 choices for this year’s pageant. Maraming salamat!

  32. eman on March 5th, 2009 9:16 am

Kung sino man ang manalo dapat yun deserving and pan laban talaga. ilang yrs. narin na walang nananalo lalo na pagdating sa ms.universe.dapat kasi piliin nila un mga sasalit. marami sa mga province ang magaganda. if i were the organizers punta sila sa iba’t-ibang sulok

Puwede mag-comment. Look at what happened to Francis Magalona when you joined that contest. And the asteroid that almost hit earth a few days ago. Sana nga hindi tutoo yung panaginip kong iyon about those children at yung magiging anak mo at about you(if ever that happens kung may mundo pa after 2012).====tbc====….

Congratulations to Candidate No. 15 Pamela Bianca Manalo, the newly crowned Bb. Pilipinas – Universe 2009 winner. Same goes to Candidate No.17 – Marie-Ann Umali and Candidate No. 3 – Richell Angalot for bagging the Bb Pilipinas World and International respectively.

    Ladies, make our country proud.

  36. Kikay Kit on March 8th, 2009 3:09 am

Jake Morales my dear … san ka pa ba nag post ng maling imposmasyon, Rich didn’t bagged the Bb. Pilipinas International title, she’s just the 1st runner up. Below are the current 2009 Bb Pilipinas winners:

Bb Pilipinas Universe > Pamela Bianca Manalo
    - No other choice amongst the top ten to represent the Phils in the Ms. U. How I wish Sandra Inez Seifert wasn’t disqualified. Grounds for her disqualification IN MY OWN OPINION lang is a bit lame. Posing sexy in FHM, so what!!! She’s a model and what’s wrong with that, it is just part of her job.

Bb Pilipinas World > Marie Ann Umali
    - I taught it will be another disastrous answer for her like last year … FUN, what is fun for her … she’s funny … hahaha, I don’t know why for the second year, another booboo for this Bb Pilipinas World choice. Sigh …. she’s better than Janina San Miguel in a way … Just a wishful thinking that Carasheila May Kuijipers was able to get through and had this crown …

Bb Pilipinas International > Melanie Gersbach
    - A good choice amongst the top 10 to represent the Phils in Ms. International.

Bb Pilipinas 1st Runner Up > Richell Angalot
    - Oh her favorite no. is 11. :-) No need to elaborate, her answer is not good, like a recital when she delivers.

Bb Pilipinas 2nd Runner Up > Regina Hahn
    - So thin, kung medyo mataba siya ng kaunti, she’ll be a good representative either of the 3 titles.

Overall, another GOOD LUCK … it’s not an impressive roster of winners, Better luck next year … hopefully, the selection will be better …

  37. Kikay Kit on March 8th, 2009 3:21 am

Mali ang info mo Jake Morales, halatang di mo napanood at nakita mo lang yung info mo sa isang web site !!! Haller, di si Rich ang pang International …

I think no I'm positive there has been a mistake here… Cheryl Oliveros isn't ASF Dancer Aiko Climaco

Got something to say?
