Barbie Hsu – who has been called “The Queen of Beauty” – is best known for her role in Meteor Garden and her popularity only increased with her appearance in “Mars”. Barbie Hsu last appeared in the recent TV series “Corner*With Love” and will be starring in the upcoming series, “Summer of Bubbles”. Barbie Hsu also recently earned a Best Actress nomination at the Hong Kong Film Awards for her movie “Connected.”

Barbie Hsu has been a vegetarian for years. She stars in a new print ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia. The ad shows Barbie Hsu holding a chick next to the tagline “Vegetarians Make Chicks Happy!” Barbie Hsu says, “Animals are like my brothers and sisters, my friends and my family. We’re all equal. I love [all animals]. That’s why I won’t eat them.”

Barbie Hsu joins other stars – including Pamela Anderson, Geneva Cruz, Isabel Roces, Natalie Portman, Yasmien Kurdi, Sir Paul McCartney and Maggie Q – who have kicked the meat habit.
