Are You The Next Big Star? As in, Are You The Next Big Star? If you think you have what it takes to be the next big star, then GMA 7 is looking for you. Once more with feeling, Are You The Next Big Star? hahaha. Are You The Next Big Star? is GMA 7′s replacement to the Pinoy Idol franchise that did not do well at the ratings. Since it is recession, GMA felt it is wasting valuable resources by paying for a failed Idol franchise, that is of course only in the Philippines, the rest of the world have very successful Idol franchises. Back to Are You The Next Big Star?, yes, it is a singing competition, and it will be hosted by Regine Velasquez but folks GMA said it will not be a clone of Pinoy Pop Superstar. Are You The Next Big Star? is a fresh Philippine made or should I say GMA made new singing competition with a different format. Auditions are now ongoing as we speak in SM Baliuag in Baliuag, Bulacan.
Next audition dates are in the following dates and venues:
April 18 – SM Batangas
April 24 & 25 – SM Marikina
Auditions start at 10 in the morning. Requirements are:
Must possess the qualities of the next big SINGING superstar
16 to 24 years of age
Male or Female
NSO certified Birth Certificate
Valid ID
2 3R Photos (Full Body and Closeup)
2 Minus One CD material

bakit ang bilis natapos ng show? and ung finale sa studio lang? talaga bang big star and kauuwian nito?
I watched this show… and it just makes me sleep.. the contestants are soooo mediocre… they're just a bunch of eye candies who sings karaoke… although the judges are good.. but the show is so-so… the stage doesn't fit on the song… the sounds are boring…
Ang ganda ng Are You The Next Big Star? Bakit? Super rigorous at extreme ang pag-search sa karapat-dapat na STAR…. Nandiyan ang mga EXPERT JURORS sa LARANGAN NG MUSIC like UP Conservatory, UST Conservatory, Madirgal Singers, Center for pop and isay alvarez…. tapos nandyan din si danny tan, randy santiago, pops fernandez, mon faustino and anne quintos ng the company
Sayang! Ang ganda pa nman ng scheme ng Pinoy Idol. Sana nga ibalik nila nxt year. Hahaha. Sasali na ako talaga. Pls. Ibalik nyo na! Maganda ang feedback ng tao kung magagaling ang contestants at base rin sa mga JUDGES. Sana palitan ang mga JUDGES para maganda ang makuha nilang artists. Kahit d2 sikat ang American Idol.
