Adam Lambert Top 8 Performance singing Mad World originally sang by Tears For Fears got cut and were not seen by many avid viewers of American Idol. The television audience also missed Simon Cowell’s amazing reaction, Simon summed it all up, together with the other judges by making a standing ovation on Adam Lambert’s Mad World performance. Okay, he did good. But I don’t think it deserved a standing ovation. There was nothing new to it. It was unfair I guess for Allison Iraheta because she sang “I Can’t Make You Love Me” which was originally sang by Bonnie Raitt, with so much justice and conviction too, especially since she is just a very young 16 years of age.
