Willie Revillame publicly reacted to Joey de Leon’s snide remarks against him and his show. A few hours later ABS-CBN issued an official statement regarding the “Wilyonaryo” controversy from the Corporate Communications department of the Kapamilya network.
“There was no cheating in the August 20 episode of ‘Wilyonaryo’, the new game portion in Wowowee.
“There are two parts in ‘Wilyonaryo’, the elimination and the final rounds. In the elimination round, the contestant won P37,000. In the final round, the contestant agreed to get the one hundred thousand pesos (P100,000) offered by Willie. This brought the contestant’s total winnings to one hundred thirty seven thousand pesos (P137,000).
“The revelation of where the P2 million jackpot prize is happened after the contestant decided to get Willie’s offer. Since ‘Wilyonaryo’ is a new game, a mechanical glitch occurred in the reveal portion.
“Wowowee assures all its supporters that all games and contests in the program are executed with transparency, fairness, and honesty.
“Wowowee will continue to give cheer, help, and fulfillment of the dreams of millions of viewers around the world.”
hindi namin nakita ang sincerity ng taong ito, pag sa harap ng camera tupperware ang dating. minsan siya pa ang nambabastos sa audience na mukhang minamaliit nya. ang gusto lang nito ay pauri sa mga audience may planong maging politiko. bias sa audience mayabang ang dating, ung tutulong tayo gawin nalang nating sikreto at hindi ini-expose sa mundo. If they want to help the really poor, just give the money to their charities and make a variety show not a game show.

hay naku.. karmahin pa sana lalo ang ABS at si Willie dahil sa maling pagtatanggol sa maling gawa nila… mali na nga yung ginawa, pinagtatakpan pa ng isang kamalian hindi valid ang official statement nila.. paanong magkakaroon ng problem sa segment na iyon kung ang bawat wheel ay may isang number lang? .. at sa sinabing statement ng ABS, parang sinabi na nila hindi lahat ng wheel e isa lang ang number (it’s the only reason to have that problem, kasi nga , hahatakin mo lang naman kung anong number ang nasa loob).
i believe that really, there was a mechanical error or glitch with the episode… Since in the game, there are 12 wheels and each wheel contains 0 as it’s base… i believe that only the 4 jackpot prizes are placed on top of these zeroes so that everyday, it would not be hard for them to shuffle all of these prizes… and with the situation, i have observed that Willie pulled the film along with the second layer which was the 2 MILLION… For instance, this revealed the last layer which was zero… ABS-CBN’s only mistake was that they chose to do it this way… i mean, it was just that they chose to place all zeroes at the base layer… they didn’t think of what could possibly happen if the 2nd layer would also be pulled….
THERE IS NO SCAM IN THE EPISODE! I ASSURE YOU….
It was a mechanical glitch that happened… Anyway, GOD knows…
So Eat Bulaga, I believe you should just keep on improving your show… improve it till perfection… don’t waste your time on making side-comments about other people’s business…. Don’t meddle with things you don’t know… and regarding your comment of the “Bakit?! Bakit?! Bakit?!”… I believe you should answer that… “Bakit ka ba nakikialam sa show ng iba kung mron ka ding show na pinaaandar?!” diba? I mean, wla nmang issue kung wlang gagawa… and likewise, walang issue kung wla kang sidecomments…
GUYZ, sit back and relax…. I am not a Wowowee fanatic nor of Eat Bulaga… I just felt bad about what happened and I believe that nothing was wrong…

the majority of people that ranted and whined about abs and wowowee being cheaters; reside in the philippines.
wowowee is making it big, whether or not you like it.
as for eat bulaga.. well.. try harder. try airing international and maybe you’ll shine as bright.
im annoyed with people bitching and whining. its not new in the entertainment business to have these kind of controversies.
