ABS-CBN ‘Class’ , GMA Pang ‘Masa’
‘CLASS’ & ‘MASA’ – A showbiz authority notes that while GMA is way, way ahead of ABS-CBN in the primetime race, both networks are “fully loaded,” meaning overflowing with commercials. One would expect GMA to have much more sponsors than ABS-CBN, yet they’re about even in advertisements.
Why is this so?
The showbiz authority in reference says it’s because advertisers are now considering not only the number of viewers, but quality of shows as well. GMA primetime programs may have the number, large viewership, but ABS-CBN has the quality, the high production values and the technical craftsmanship.
Think of ABS-CBN’s ‘Lobo’ and ‘Maligno’ and ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya,’ the showbiz authority continues. Think of GMA’s ‘Joaquin Bordado’ and ‘Dyesebel’ and ‘Babangon Ako at Dudurugin Kita.’ Compare and see the difference.
Seems that ABS-CBN has the limited A & B market, while GMA has captured the much bigger C, D, & E viewers. And it tells in the ratings. Advertisers target both audiences. Which explains why both channels are “fully loaded.”
A question of “Class” & “Masa.”

I acknowledge that GMA has now gone far better in “entertainment business” than ABS-CBN - i.e. morning chikahan, afternoon dramarama, evening teleserye, and even the Q-TV channel - all loaded with “entertainment biz”. Mapapabilib ka talaga sa “entertainment department” ng GMA, nag-uumapaw!
But i suppose that’s the difference between GMA and ABS-CBN. GMA for entertainment, ABS-CBN for ‘intellectual stimulation’ (i don’t have a better term). It is indeed a question of “masa” and “class”.
And sana, imbes na mag-away, pagbutihin na lang nila kung saan sila magaling. Pwede namang panoorin pareho. Ginagawa ko yun. Maganda din magtune-in sa ANC. MAganda din magdeliver ng news ang ABC (though di ko alam kung may koneksyon siya sa alinman sa dalawang higanteng networks). And sinasabi ko lang ay hindi naman porke’t Kapuso o Kapamilya ang puso mo eh hindi mo na makikita ang ganda ng kabila. You can still appreciate the beauty of others yet remain loyal to one.
As for me, I am an ABS-CBN by heart and for life!

siguro di na nagrerehearsal ang eat bulaga.
eh pinanood mo rin ba sa youtube ang pagtataray ni marian?
dahil binge at bulag kayo sa katotohanan kahit pilit na ipinaliliwanag na isang pagkakamali sa desinyo ng game kaya pumalpak. pero syempre mahirap magpaliwanag sa MAKITID ang utak. hindi ko kayo masisi dahil kung anong dikta ni joey nakasunod kayong parang mga TUTA. isa rin sa biktima ng eat bulaga ang nanay ng kaibigan ko dahil 40% lang ang ibinigay na premyo sa halip na 80%. nagmamalinis pa?
sa nahuling pagtataray ni marian anong depensa nyo na sya ay binastos, sya ay cavitenia, sya ay nagtataray sa kumukuha sa video sa kanya pero nasa likod nya ang mga kuha(paano yon?). noong lumabas ang issue di raw nagtaray si marian sa fans pero noong ilabas na sa TVpatrol ayon naiba na ang dialog.

panoorin nyo na lang sa you tube kung paano ang practice nina willie sa pandaraya sa mga games nila. pati ba naman yon may practice pa…….so cheap huh!!!

class ba yung pupunta ka sa wowowee then kelangan mo magbigay ng “hard earned money”, at kung malaki bigay mo baka makita ka sa T.V……sooooooooo cheap!!!!

sabi nyo class abs-cbn kaya doon pumupunta mga balikbayans, di ba k-cheap-an nga yon lalo na sa wowowee na pina-practice pati pandaraya sa games nila.

Hahaha! Yan ba ang # 1? Kapag may magagandang shows ang GMA, sinasabotahe ang kuryente para d mapanood ng marami? Like what happened to the first episode of Mulawin and Dyesebel. Ang dumi maglaro ng ABS porke hawak nila ang MERALCO. Yan ba ang # 1???Madaya! ba fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
